Photo source: Condé Nast Johansens. Greece is among the world’s top 10 luxury destinations this summer, according to the “Holiday Habits Luxury Travelers Guide 2023” released by Condé Nast Johansens. More specifically, the annual study placed Greece among the world’s leading destinations for luxury travelers. The list also includes the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Ireland, Croatia, the United States, and the Caribbean. Study findings also reveal that 38 percent of luxury travelers said they plan to spend an average of 8,000 euros on their holidays in the coming months. Those polled said they preferred May, June and September for their luxury getaways. Topping the list of summer preferences were inland and beach destinations for longer stays and smaller city spots for shorter stays. Other key takeaways of the “Holiday Habits Luxury Travelers Guide 2023” include: – the 55+ segment accounts for 61 percent of luxury travelers compared to 32 percent in the 35-54 age group – luxury travelers usually take three to four vacations throughout the year and more than half (53 percent) said each trip lasts between seven to 10 days – the luxury travel segment includes family travel and couples holidays. Top choices include holiday packages with spa and wellness experiences, gastronomy and oenology, outdoor activities and adventure sports.
