The Greek island of Kea, part of the Cyclades group and also referred to as Tzia, is expected to make an impact on the Greek sports tourism scene with the launch of the Kea Beach Games, a new privately organized multi-sport and leisure event.

Organized by SportIris, the initiative offers a diverse range of activities throughout July, August and September, and aims to attract both sports enthusiasts and island visitors.

The Kea Beach Games event program is packed with competitions and activities. Participants can look forward to engaging in athletics competitions and beach volleyball tournaments in July, while tennis matches, hiking tours at the archaeological site of Karthea, and yoga sessions are scheduled to take place in August.

The games will continue into September with a fencing gala and matches.

“Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for both residents and visitors of Kea by offering high-quality sports and recreational activities, as well as developing sports infrastructure on the island,” said SportIris President and CEO Iris Vlachoutsikou.

The 1st Kea Beach Games will be held under the auspices of the Kea Municipality, with the support of private national and local companies. Additionally, the Greek volleyball and fencing federations will support the event.

SportIris, the organizer of the inaugural Kea Beach Games, is committed to delivering a unique experience for all participants.
