Greece and the port of Piraeus are among the most popular luxury cruise destinations and departure ports for June 2023, according to the latest “Cruise Trends” survey published by CruiseCompete. By leveraging its extensive data, which includes an average of 25,000 quotes per month, the website generates a monthly “CruiseTrends” report that highlights the global preferences of consumers, such as the top ships, cruise lines, destinations, and travel dates for premium, luxury, and river cruising. According to the June 2023 report, Greece ranked as the 4th “Most Popular Country Visited” in the luxury cruise category, while the port of Piraeus secured the 5th position in the “Most Popular Cruise Departure Ports” list for luxury cruises. These rankings represent an improvement compared to the May 2023 report, where Greece held the 6th position in the countries’ category, and Piraeus did not make it to the top 10 list of departure ports. In the previous year’s June 2022 report, Greece achieved the 2nd rank in the same category, with Piraeus at 3rd place. Overall, Europe dominated the luxury and river cruise categories as the “World’s Most Popular Cruise Region” in CruiseCompete’s June 2023 report. Furthermore, Vancouver and the United States claimed the top spots in the “Most Popular Cruise Departure Ports” and “Most Popular Countries Visited” lists, respectively, in the luxury cruise category.
