AEGEAN and Cyprus Airways recently announced a codeshare agreement to improve connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Cyprus.

Effective from June 20th, the commercial partnership aims to boost business and leisure travel between Greece and Cyprus by offering enhanced flight schedules and seamless connectivity to international destinations.

Under the agreement, AEGEAN will place its (A3) code on flights operated by Cyprus Airways to Paris, Rome, Milan, Beirut, Cairo, Yerevan, and all Greek destinations. Similarly, Cyprus Airways will place its (CY) code on AEGEAN’s network in Greece, including flights to Madrid and Barcelona. Passengers will also continue to benefit from the respective operating carrier’s other services, including through check-in.

“This codeshare partnership is a significant milestone for the new Cyprus Airways. AEGEAN is a Star Alliance member with whom we share a strong market reputation and customer commitment,” said Cyprus Airways CEO Paul Sies.

Sies highlighted the shared values of quality service and customer satisfaction between the two airlines and how the company’s network expansion will provide new travel opportunities to the Cypriot community.

On his part, AEGEAN Chief Commercial Officer Roland Jaggi underlined that “AEGEAN continues to invest in Cyprus and establish strategic partnerships” to meet the evolving needs of passengers.
