A part of Cyprus-based air charter group Zela Aviation, Zela Jet is an airline company that offers private flights for leisure and business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. According to the company, the expansion of Zela Jet’s fleet, starting in July, will strengthen its ability to offer high-level services to passengers looking for comfort, safety and efficiency during their private travels. Agusta 109C aircraft The first aircraft Zela Jet has added to its fleet is an Agusta 109C helicopter, which will be based in Athens and scheduled to serve the market of the Greek Islands with competitive rates. The twin-engine Agusta 109C helicopter has retractable landing gear, air conditioning and a plush interior. It will fly passengers to their destination in a timely manner thanks to its efficient design and strong engines. According to Zela Jet, the Agusta 109C is one of the most luxurious and safe versions of a helicopter ever produced. “Nothing compares to the feelings of hovering in a strong, swift helicopter while looking down at the Aegean Sea a few feet below. This helicopter journey is an unforgettable experience,” says Zela Jet in an announcement. Thanks to the helicopter’s panoramic windows, passengers will experience a breathtaking flight above the Aegean Sea. With a VIP capacity for six passengers and a range of 345 miles, the Agusta 109C comes as the perfect aircraft to use for private helicopter charter to certain popular Greek islands such as Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Milos, Naxos and many more. Produced in 2023, the Pilatus PC-12 NGX is a versatile, single–engine turboprop that is considered perfect for short to medium range flights around the southern eastern Mediterranean region. Holding a capacity for 6 passengers and offering comfortable flights for up to 2.5 hours, the PC-12 NGX aircraft will be based out of Athens International Airport (AIA) from July. The most modern single-engine turboprop to date, the PC-12 NGX has the most recent avionics and engine technology and a remarkable safety record of more than 7 million flying hours. According to Zela Jet, the aircraft will be best used for island hopping in Greece and reaching other nearby destinations in the southern eastern Mediterranean region. The PC-12 does not require a long runway which makes it one of the best private aircraft able to land in almost all airports on the Greek islands.
