Dubbed “A City of Many Tales – Chania in a New Light”, the campaign includes a set of 30 short videos featuring destinations and things to do in and around Chania. Presenting the new promo drive, Chania Deputy Mayor for Tourism Nektarios Psaroudakis said the aim of the videos, which highlight the region “from one end to the other”, is to introduce travelers to Chania and to inform them of all the options available all year round. The one-minute videos, made possible with the support of the municipality’s tourism department, will be posted across the its social media as well as on its tourism website with the goal to reveal the region’s comparative advantages which make it a safe, attractive, and multidimensional, all-season holiday destination. Nicolas Anastasakis, the director of the video project, described the campaign as “a small, digital tourist guide”. “Online visitors can see in the videos everything from how tsikoudia is made in the vineyards in Kerameia to how someone can go for a swim on a beach in Seitan Limania,” he said.
