Celestyal Cruises recently unveiled details on its new ship, Celestyal Journey, following its extensive multimillion refurbishment and technical overhaul.

According to a company announcement, the ship’s name embodies the sense of wanderlust adventure and exploration of its customers, which the designers have mirrored throughout the onboard experience of the Celestyal Journey.

“We have used invaluable feedback from our guests as well as industry research to elevate our existing quality product and deliver a new premium stay-in-style experience for guests of our new ship,” Celestyal Cruises CEO Chris Theophilides said.

The onboard experience of the Celestyal Journey includes more balcony suites, seven decadent dining venues, eight bars and lounges, a live show lounge that spans two decks, a vibrant Kids Club, expansive sun decks, two shimmering pools and an entire deck dedicated to wellness. Additionally, Celestyal Journey also features two fully equipped conference rooms making the ship a venue for meetings and incentives.

More Dream Suites, 148 balcony suites & the first Celestyal penthouse suite

According to Celestyal, the new ship’s 630 Dream Suites and Cosmos Cabins offer far more than just a place to sleep; they are designed as a sanctuary to unwind and relax. The Celestyal Journey includes 120 Junior Dream Suites and 28 Grand Dream Suites – all with balconies – and boasts 80 percent outside cabins.

Moreover, the Celestyal Journey sees the cruise line debut its first ever penthouse with private terrace, the Stargazer Suite, offering a premium luxury cruise experience.

Celestyal Journey to take to the seas in autumn

Celestyal’s newest ship will set sail on September 2, taking over the Celestyal Crystal’s program, initially on its popular seven-night “Idyllic Aegean” itinerary visiting Athens, Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Heraklion, Santorini, Mykonos and Milos.

Following the inaugural Idyllic Aegean sailings commencing September 2, the Celestyal Journey will continue in October with the unique “Steps of Paul” itinerary calling on Athens, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Istanbul, Dikili, Kusadasi and Patmos followed by the award winning seven-night “Three Continents” itinerary, visiting Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, and Turkey.

There will also be two exclusive holiday sailings. The 11-night, special Christmas voyage calling on Thessaloniki, Izmir, Crete, Antalya, Limassol, with two days in Alexandria and an overnight visit in Haifa (Israel) to spend both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the Holy Land. This can be combined with the New Year’s eight-night departure visiting Heraklion, Rhodes, Kusadasi, overnighting in Istanbul before calling Volos.
