After years of isolation, people seek to reconnect,” said Giacomo Trovato, Airbnb Country Manager for Southeast Europe. Additionally, data reveals that Airbnb users in Greece are staying longer. Indicatively, one in seven bookings made by Greek travelers in the first quarter of the year concerned stays for 28 days or more. “Not only are we seeing a significant increase in Greek travelers looking to Airbnb for their summer vacations, but we are also seeing an evolution in the way Greek visitors travel – they are staying longer, looking for affordable options and exploring new destinations,” said Trovato. According to the data, Airbnb users are already planning their summer holidays in over 72,000 cities and towns worldwide.
