Facilitating and strengthening tourist flows between Greece and Lebanon was the main focus of a meeting held between Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and her Lebanese counterpart, Walid Nassar.

The two ministers met on Monday at the headquarters of the Greek Tourism Ministry in the presence of the Ambassador of Lebanon to Greece, Ghady El Khoury.

According to an announcement by the ministry, the meeting between Kefalogianni and Nassar was held in the framework defined by the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of tourism signed in May between Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon.

Thw two ministers discussed the importance of the memorandum for boosting tourist flows between the two countries and set priorities.

The memorandum signed in May foresees, among other things, institutional synergies and boosting communications between the public and private sectors of Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon.

Moreover, the three countries are to exchange information, know-how and practical experience on the policies and strategies followed in the tourism industry (destination promotion, data and market research, tourism education and training, investment attraction, etc.).
