Celebrity Cruises: New Culinary, Beverage Experiences on New ‘Ascent’ Ship

Celebrity Cruises recently unveiled a new culinary and beverage program for its highly anticipated new ship, Celebrity Ascent.

The fourth vessel in the line’s Edge Series, Ascent aims to entice travelers with redesigned restaurants, a new immersive dinner experience, expanded food and cocktail menus, a new whiskey-tasting experience and a plant-based multi-course dinner.

“The memories we make with family and friends while sharing food and drink has long-been one of the most memorable parts of travel, and with Celebrity Ascent we sought every opportunity to make these experiences richer and even more exciting for our guests,” said Celebrity Cruises’ President Laura Hodges Bethge.

Some of the highlights of the new culinary program on Celebrity Ascent include:

• A new Le Voyage restaurant: World-renowned chef Daniel Boulud will bring his acclaimed restaurant concept to sea with Le Voyage, which will offer a global menu of dishes inspired by his travels.

• A new plant-based tasting menu: Eden, the signature restaurant in Celebrity Ascent’s Eden venue, will offer a new seven-course plant-based tasting menu. The menu will feature dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and will be designed to showcase the flavors of the world.
• Expanded offerings at the main dining rooms: Celebrity Ascent will have four main dining rooms, each with its own unique cuisine. The Cosmopolitan restaurant will offer New American cuisine, the Cyprus restaurant will offer Mediterranean cuisine, the Normandie restaurant will offer French cuisine, and the Tuscan restaurant will offer Italian cuisine.

• Revamped specialty dining experiences: Le Petit Chef, Fine Cut Steakhouse, and Blu will all be getting new menus and experiences. Le Petit Chef is a unique dining experience that uses projection mapping to bring a story to life through food. Fine Cut Steakhouse is a popular steakhouse that offers dry-aged steaks and seafood. Blu is a Mediterranean restaurant that offers fresh seafood and pasta dishes.
• New whiskey-tasting experience: Celebrity Ascent will offer a new whiskey-tasting experience featuring two hand-selected barrels of WhistlePig Whiskey. The tasting will be led by a certified whiskey expert and will include a selection of WhistlePig’s award-winning whiskies.
