Lesvos, a Greek island with a long history and rich culture, is also emerging as a safe and welcoming destination for LGBTQ+ travelers, following a recent fam trip featuring popular British influencer Cora Harrison.

The trip co-organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) UK & Ireland branch and the North Aegean Region, saw Harrison visiting the island’s many attractions, including its beautiful beaches, historic sites, traditional villages and experiencing its vibrant nightlife.

The British influencer took to her social media to praise Lesvos for its welcoming atmosphere and highlight that it is a safe destination for LGBTQ+ travelers.

Harrison, who has over 250,000 visits per month to her website, posted about her trip to Lesvos on TikTok, where her videos have been viewed over 89,000 times, and on Instagram, where her stories have been shared over 11,000 times. She also posted four video reels on Instagram, which have been viewed over 16,000 times.

In addition, Lesvos was promoted to British independent travel agents through Not Just Travel’s executive and travel consultant Keeley Brown, who visited the island in July.

Brown’s trip aimed at promoting Lesvos as a unique holiday and alternative tourism destination to Not Just Travel’s network of 700 UK independent travel agencies and their clients.

According to GNTO sources, the travel consultant’s visit is expected to further strengthen Greece’s reach to the UK market.
