Called Uber Reserve, the new service allows riders to reserve an Uber Taxi in Athens and Thessaloniki up to 90 days and at least 30 minutes in advance while also giving information on the trip’s cost (fixed fare). According to Uber, the driver will arrive early – 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Uber Greece General Manager Sarita Varouch said that through the new Uber Reserve feature, the company aims to offer the most seamless travel experience to both Greeks and tourists, especially during the summer when booking requests for routes to/from airports and ports show an increase. Users can cancel a Reserve trip less than 1 hour before pick up, without a cancellation fee. The Uber Reserve service is already available in over 90 European cities and over 50 countries.
