According to an announcement on Monday, the airline has already entered into a series of strategic partnerships with leading European tour operators aiming to further enhance the tourist traffic to the island, which saw devastating wildfires burn for over a week last month, with its summer flight program. Within the framework of these partnerships, SKY express will connect Rhodes until the end of October with 13 airports of eight European cities: Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. As a result, SKY express will have offered more than 88,000 seats to European visitors. Moreover, the airline’s management said SKY express’ overall effort to constantly promote Rhodes as a 365-day destination will continue through the company’s own promotional channels. One example is the summer issue of the airline’s in-flight magazine (FLY magazine) that features Rhodes on its cover and in a special tribute. “But also in the autumn issue of FLY magazine readers will find more reasons to get in touch with the top tourist destination of Rhodes,” management said. Moreover, SKY express said that bookings to the Greek island have not been affected by July’s fires. “Τhere have been no cancellations and the company is travelling to the island with high load factor,” the airline’s management said. SKY express travels to Rhodes with its state-of-the-art aircraft that are part of the youngest fleet in the country. “SKY express & Rhodes are closer than ever with SKY express enriching even more its support to the island of Rhodes with future actions and activities,” the company’s management said. 25% discount for all flights to and from Rhodes SKY express is also offering a special 25 percent discount for tickets to/from Rhodes for bookings made between August 3-11, for travel between August 3-September 25. Through the discount SKY express aims to contribute to the development of Rhodes’ tourist traffic and give even more incentives to travelers to discover the destination. The 25 percent discount can be obtained by entering the code RHODES in the promo code field. Further information can be found here. It is reminded that when the fires began sweeping across Rhodes, SKY express immediately launched a broad support mechanism at both the “Diagoras” International Airport of Rhodes and at its bases in Athens and Thessaloniki, in order to continue the transport and interconnection of passengers, special personnel (such as PPC linemen, volunteers, rescuers) and essential supplies including dry food, pharmaceuticals, mattresses, isotonic drinks and bottles of water. “SKY express’ immediate mobilization for Rhodes was the result of the well-balanced cooperation and effective coordination of all the human resources of SKY express and Skyserv… We continue to support Rhodes now and in the future so that it becomes a 365-day destination,” said SKY express Chairman and CEO Theodoros Krokidas.
