During a meeting with Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni in Athens, the ambassador discussed strengthening Greek-Polish ties through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with a focus on special interest tourism forms. Both sides agreed that special forms of tourism, including green tourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism, culinary tourism and educational tourism, were suitable areas for cooperation between the two countries. Strengthening cultural ties According to Minister Kefalogianni, cultural and educational tourism can create the foundations for strong ties between tourists and the country they visit. These special interest tourism forms also attract repeat visitors, the minister said. Kefalogianni underlined that Greece is already an established destination for Poles and that the further attraction of high-income tourists is particularly important.
