The ‘Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino’ Luxury Resort is Now Open

Asian hotel group Mandarin Oriental recently brought its legendary hospitality to Greece with the opening of its first property in the southwest Peloponnese.

Part of Costa Navarino, a sustainably driven destination, the new Mandarin Oriental resort is infused with the long-held traditions and cultural heritage of the Peloponnese region.

The beachfront resort, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape in Navarino Bay, has been created in collaboration with TEMES, the developer of Costa Navarino.

Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino features 99 elegant, light-filled suites and earth-sheltered villas with private pools and spacious terraces.

The resort’s design, carried out by Tombazis & Associates Architects and K-Studio, has been inspired by the local architectural heritage, embracing the natural beauty of Messinia with accents featuring local plants, earthy undertones, and gentle splashes of color. The earth-sheltered villas blend into the natural topography of the land and utilize local materials. Aligned with Costa Navarino’s sustainable development principles, the Navarino Bay site features 2,700 replanted olive trees and over 500,000 planted native shrubs.

The five restaurants and bar concepts of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino have a distinctive design and culinary offering, inviting guests to explore a diverse array of dining options and original flavors from international cuisines, overseen by Chef Bertrand Valegeas. The resort’s Oliviera Restaurant offers redefined yet authentic Greek cuisine that pays homage to local culture while Levantine offerings are available at Tahir Restaurant, with wholesome mezze dishes made from finest quality, locally sourced ingredients.

The world-class spa at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino is a rejuvenating sanctuary offering holistic treatments inspired by traditional rituals from the Far East and the abundant local flora. A 25 meter indoor-outdoor pool provides mesmerizing bay views.
