UK leisure travel group Jet2, has recently announced that it will include Athens in its Winter 24/25 City Break program, connecting the Greek capital with London Stansted and Manchester airports and making it a year-round destination for travelers choosing Birmingham airport. The group’s new program sees up to two weekly flights, including additional services from late November through to early February, between Birmingham airport and Athens. In addition, up to two weekly flights will operate between London Stansted and Manchester airports and Athens. “The demand we are seeing for next winter is telling us that people are wanting to book further ahead and get their winter holidays booked in,” said CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Steve Heapy. Jet2 in total is offering a choice of nine leisure city break destinations for winter 2024/2025, with flights and city breaks going on sale from seven UK bases – Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle International and London Stansted Airports. The expanded program offers multiple routes to nine popular city break favorites – Athens, Barcelona, Budapest, Krakow, Paris, Prague, Rome, Vienna and Venice. Jet2 runs leisure flights through Jet2.com and package holidays through its tour operator Jet2holidays. Jet2 first launched flights and city break package holidays to Athens in April 2021.
