ITT 2024: Halkidiki to Host Major UK Travel and Tourism Conference

The Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT) Conference will return to Greece for its 2024 edition and be held in Halkidiki from June 3 to 5.

Considered a premier event in the travel industry, the ITT Conference brings together leading figures from the UK travel and tourism industry. The conference will feature a variety of speakers and panel discussions, as well as networking opportunities for its over 350 participating delegates.

The event was last held in Greece in 1997 when it was hosted in Athens. The 2024 edition will take place at the luxurious Porto Carras Grand Resort.

Halkidiki, the conference’s host destination for 2024, is a popular tourism destination in Greece, known for its unique beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush forests. The region is also home to a rich cultural heritage, with a number of historical sites and traditional villages.

“Halkidiki has long been a hidden gem, and we are delighted to be hosting the Institute of Travel Tourism Conference after 26 years,” said Halkidiki Tourism Organization President Grigoris Tasios.

According to Tasios, hosting the event confirms the organization’s commitment to promote Halkidiki as a top destination, and is also a “vote of confidence” from the organizers.

Founded in 1956, the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT) is a professional body for the travel and tourism industry in the UK. The ITT’s mission is to promote excellence in travel and tourism, and to provide its members with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the industry.

The ITT is also committed to reducing its environmental impact. For the first time, delegates will be required to pay a fee to offset the carbon footprint of the conference held in Halkidiki. This initiative is part of the ITT’s commitment to sustainability.
