The Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki recently announced the launch of a special program, in collaboration with the Hellenic Red Cross, to support and assist the flood victims of Thessaly. According to an announcement, for every stay at the Makedonia palace, a portion of the room rate will be donated to the Red Cross. The allocation of part of the amount of each overnight stay is an initiative that aims to raise significant funds that will be used by the Hellenic Red Cross for the supply and provision of resources and services to the flood victims. “Thessaly is in need after the deadly floods and during these difficult times we have decided to support the local community and the Red Cross,” said the hotel’s General Manager Alkiviadis Sotiriou. “Solidarity is a core value for us and with this support program we can contribute to the relief and recovery of the area,” he added.
