According to an announcement, from June 29, 2024, the airline will connect Brussels to the historic northern Greece city, offering passengers two flights a week. This expansion will offer more options for leisure and business travelers looking to explore Greece and beyond. Thessaloniki, Greece. The addition of Thessaloniki is part of Transavia’s commitment to meeting the increasing demand to link both sunny and winter destinations with the Belgian capital. To facilitate this expansion, Transavia will station a third aircraft at Brussels Airport, providing travelers with even more flexibility and choices for their journeys. “Transavia has been very well received in Brussels. This has resulted in full aircraft with a so-called load factor of over 90 percent from the very first moment. Next summer, to meet the growing demand, we will also be flying more frequently from Brussels to several destinations,” said Transavia CEO Marcel de Nooijer. According to the company, during the summer 2024 period, it will also fly four times a week to Heraklion and maintain its 2023 flying frequency to Zakynthos. Thessaloniki, Greece. In addition to Thessaloniki, Transavia will introduce two other routes from Brussels Airport next year. Passengers can look forward to three weekly flights to the city of Bari in Italy, starting from June 27, 2024. Meanwhile, Marrakech in Morocco will be served three times a week, commencing from June 28, 2024. Earlier in 2024, the company will reintroduce its Eindhoven-Oslo and Amsterdam-Tirana routes. Tickets for all Transavia destinations in summer 2024 are currently on sale. In total, Transavia will operate 45 weekly flights next summer, compared to 31 in summer 2023.
