Brown Hotels Strengthens Team in Greece with Two Senior Appointments

Brown Hotels Collection has announced the appointment of Spyros Ioannou as Country COO and Alexandros Papageorgiou as Director of Finance in Greece.

Ioannou has over 25 years of experience in the tourism industry, with a successful track record in the hospitality sector. He has held senior positions at major international hotel chains such as Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham, Radisson, and Accor.

“Brown Hotels Collection has a unique approach to hospitality and I strongly believe in the growth and expansion of the hotels in the center of Athens as well as the resorts in the rest of Greece. I look forward to using my experience to continue Brown Hotels’ success in Greece and its future growth in Thessaloniki and other destinations,” said Ioannou.

Papageorgiou, Brown Hotels new Finance Director, has over 15 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in the management, planning, and supervision of financial operational processes for large corporate groups. He has held senior positions at companies such as the Mitsis Hotel Group, the auditing firm SOL s.a., Victory Media S.A., and the travel agency GrecoTour S.L.

Dionysis Maratos, HR Director, and Dimitra Arida, VP Sales & Marketing, who have been at the company’s Athens headquarters since its inception, remain on the Brown Hotels executive team, while Michalis Metaxas, COO Resorts, and Max Devoldere, Guest Experience Group Vice President, complete the team.

Founded in 2010 by hoteliers Leon Avigad and Nitzan Perry, Brown Hotels is known for its unique design hotels that offer travelers an authentic cultural experience. The company has over 30 hotels in its portfolio, with locations in Israel, Croatia, and Greece.
