Delta to Go Daily on Boston-Athens Route in Summer 2024

Delta Air Lines recently announced that it will go daily on its Boston-Athens seasonal route next year.

According to an announcement, following the great success of the route in summer 2023, Delta decided to boost weekly frequencies by three, making the Boston – Athens route a daily service next summer.

Flights will begin on May 9 on a A330-900 (neo) aircraft with 281 seats on board spread over four different classes (29 Delta One, 20 Premium Select, 56 Comfort+ and 168 Main Cabin). Flights to Athens International Airport (AIA) will run until October 26.

Delta launched the Boston – Athens route in the summer of 2022 with three flights per week. This year, it increased frequency to four weekly flights. In the upcoming summer season of 2024, flights between Boston and Athens will run seven times a week.

The direct Boston-Athens connection carried a total of 33.9 thousand passengers during the May – October 2022 period.

In 2023, passenger traffic from May to August increased by 64 percent (34.5 thousand passengers until August).

Delta also operates seasonal flights to Athens from New York-JFK (twice daily) and Atlanta (daily).
