Mabrian Chief Marketing Officer Carlos Cendra attributes the price hikes to the “the fact that the aviation industry has suffered a strong impact from increased costs in recent years that has been transferred to prices as well as the inevitable effect of inflation”. Cendra goes on to add that the main factor is the soaring rise in the price of fuel, which represents between 15 percent and 35 percent of airline operating costs.
