Grecotel’s THE DOLLI Hotel in Athens Applauded by Condé Nast Traveler Readers

The Dolli, a five-star hotel that opened this year in the historic center of Athens, was recognized as one of Europe’s 50 best hotels and the 2nd best hotel in Greece for 2023 as voted by the readers of renowned luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler (CNT).

The 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards is an esteemed recognition within the travel industry. Each year, Conde Nast Traveller readers vote on the best travel experiences in the world.

The Dolli’s recognition for the 2023 Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards follows the title of “Greek capital’s best hotel” given to the hotel by the magazine’s editorial team during the summer.

These accolades have placed the hotel among an elite group of global hotels, highlighting its unique aesthetic and commitment to hospitality.

Owned by leading hotel group Grecotel, The Dolli opened its doors to guests some nine months ago. Known for its stunning view of the Acropolis and Plaka district, the hotel is situated in the Kallimasiotis Mansion, designed by architect Andreas Kriezis in 1925. Grecotel has meticulously restored this historic property to meet the highest hospitality standards.

The hotel features 46 rooms, allowing for flexible combinations to accommodate guests, all bathed in the natural light of Athens, offering a view of the city’s rich history and vibrant atmosphere.

Grecotel’s vision for The Dolli was to preserve the building’s historic character while incorporating modern design elements. The hotel’s spaces, including the lobby, library, Secret Bar, rooftop restaurant Dolli’s, and the swimming pool that as CNT notes “creates the illusion that you’re floating in the Parthenon“, showcase rare artworks and collectible design objects by Cocteau, Picasso, and Calder, providing guests with a unique experience.
