Holland America Line’s ‘Nieuw Statendam’ Cruise Ship Comes to Piraeus

The Nieuw Statendam vessel of Holland America Line was presented to a group of Greek travel agents and tourism professionals while it was recently docked in the port of Piraeus.

Holland America Line’s second in the line of Pinnacle-class cruise ships, the Nieuw Statendam can carry up to 2,666 passengers and 1,025 crew members with a 99,500 GT, making her one of the largest ships in the company’s fleet.

Built in 2018, the Nieuw Statendam has 12 decks, 1,339 cabins (280 inside and 1,059 outside) and offers luxury, cosmopolitan atmosphere, comfort and fine dining. Highlights of the ship include spacious staterooms and public areas, rich timber furnishings set with museum-quality paintings and antiques, and itineraries to key cities.

During the ship’s stay in Piraeus, Holland America Line’s official representative in Greece, allCruises.gr, held a tour for the Greek guests, introduced the ship’s facilities and presented this year’s program and the destinations of Nieuw Statendam for 2024.

Focusing on the port of Piraeus, the Nieuw Statendam this year offers itineraries from Trieste – Dalmatian Coasts and the Greek Islands – Piraeus, Piraeus – Holy Land and Piraeus – Istanbul – Rome.

For 2024, 21 cruises of 7 to 28 days will be offered on two of Holland America Line’s cruise ships – Oosterdam and Nieuw Statendam – from and to Piraeus to: Egypt – Israel – Turkey, the Greek Islands – Turkey, Eastern Mediterranean – Adriatic and Dalmatian Coasts – Venice.
