A Polish TV crew recently visited the islands of Samos, Chios, and Lesvos to promote the tourism offerings of the lesser-known Greek destinations to the Polish market.

The press trip, co-organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) Polish branch and the North Aegean Region, aimed to shine a spotlight on the three islands through the popular Polish TV show “Dancing with the World,” which enjoys a dedicated viewership in both Poland and Lithuania.

Accompanied by Niki Nikolopoulou, the head of the GNTO Polish branch, the Polish crew documented their experiences and impressions of Samos, Chios, and Lesvos, highlighting the islands’ natural beauty, picturesque towns, rich history, well-developed tourist infrastructure, vibrant culture, and distinctive cuisine.

Furthermore, the crew explored the islands’ past at museums and historical sites, such as medieval castles and ancient churches. They also immersed themselves in Greek culture, enjoying the rhythms of Greek music, traditional dances, and local folk art.

The eagerly awaited TV program, featuring the northeastern Aegean islands, is scheduled to air in late October 2023.

It will subsequently be rebroadcasted from January 2024 on several TVP channels, including TVP’s main channel, TVP Woman, TVP Entertainment, TVP streaming, and TVP Wilno (Lithuania). The show is expected to reach an estimated audience of around 4.2 million viewers, igniting a newfound interest in Samos, Chios, and Lesvos as must-visit destinations.
