September data demonstrates that Greece is making the quickest recovery in flight figures and fast approaching pre-pandemic levels. Overall, in September, 605,806 commercial flights were carried out in the EU, up by 7.9 percent over September 2022 but down by 8.9 percent compared to the same month in 2019. Strong flight figures were also recorded in the June-August period compared to 2022 – June (6.9 percent), July (7.4 percent) and August (6.6 percent) – but still below respective 2019 levels – June (-10.4 percent), July (-9.0 percent) and August (-8.5 percent).
