Costa Navarino, a prime sustainable tourism destination in the Mediterranean, will partner with the renowned Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to launch two exclusive five-day cooking programs for chefs and culinary enthusiasts in early 2024. The Professional Executive Program, taking place February 28 – March 3, will focus on plant-forward cooking. Participants will learn fundamental techniques and methods for coaxing maximum flavor out of vegetables and fruits, grains, and other ingredients, as they create a number of globally inspired dishes designed to enhance the menus in their businesses. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of accomplishment and three (3) Continuing Education Units (CEU’s). The Basic Training Boot Camp for food enthusiasts will take place March 6-10. This program provides an opportunity for serious home cooks to hone their skills and take their cooking to the next level. Upon completion, participants will receive a certification of attendance. Both programs will be hosted at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and will include daily morning activities and bespoke experiences designed to immerse participants in the unique surroundings of Costa Navarino and the local area. During their visit to Costa Navarino, guests will also enjoy the culinary heritage of Messinia. The area boasts an abundant agriculture, featuring olive oil and olives as its trademark products. These are complemented by a wide range of fruits, vegetables, and aromatic herbs grown in the area, forming the foundation of the local cuisine.
