The Hellenic Association of Airline Representatives (SAAE) recently announced its new Board of Directors, following elections held during its general assembly earlier this month.

SAAE’s new Board of Directors is as follows:

Following her appointment, Maria Theofanopoulou, underlined that General Sales Agents (GSAs) play an essential role in the aviation industry regarding passenger and cargo sales.

“GSAs are vital connectors between airlines and destinations, promoting regional growth and strengthening the aviation industry as a whole. Meanwhile, our industry’s power also stems from the collective effort of our membership, including ground handling services and airline supervisors,” she added.

Theofanopoulou highlighted that in times of unprecedented global challenges – such as the pandemic, the Ukrainian conflict or the recent clashes in Israel – the value of GSAs and association members amplifies.

Together, we can serve as sturdy foundations of strength, aiding airlines in navigating disturbances, streamlining procedures, while reducing risks and expenses,” she concluded.

SAAE was founded in 1989 and its members consist of Greek companies that represent foreign airlines in Greece. Currently, over 63 percent of foreign airlines represented in Greece operate under Greek General Sales Agents (GSAs). Today, it represents over 80 airlines in Greece.
