Mykonos, one of Greece’s most popular Greek islands, played a prominent role in the popularity of the Netflix limited series “A Perfect Story” (Spanish: “Un cuento perfecto“), according to tourism consulting firm MTC Group. The series made its debut on the platform in July and quickly attracted international attention, securing a spot in the Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) Netflix chart for four consecutive weeks. The Spanish romantic comedy, based on the novel by Elísabet Benavent, was filmed in Madrid and picturesque locations of Mykonos, with a focus on Agios Sostis. The island’s iconic Alefkantras mills and the Armenistis lighthouse also served as backdrops for the series. In addition to Mykonos, some scenes were shot on the Greek islands of Santorini and Ios. The production of “A Perfect Story” received invaluable support from the Mykonos Municipality and the island’s residents who contributed to the series’ success by offering assistance during filming. Agios Sostis, one of Mykonos’ gems, has earned acclaim as a “stunning beach” among TripAdvisor reviewers. The unspoiled and natural location is known for its pristine beauty and the fact that it is devoid of sunbeds and umbrellas, making it one of the most captivating and untouched spots on the island.
