Greek Restaurants on Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best List for 2023

Several Greek restaurants were recently recognized among the best in the world in the 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards for Restaurants  by Tripadvisor.

In their 21st year, the Travelers’ Choice Awards honored restaurants that received a high volume of excellent reviews and ratings from Tripadvisor users over the past 12 months. Each winner has met the company’s rigorous trust and safety criteria. Less than 1 percent of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, which represents the highest level of excellence in travel.

Tripadvisor’s 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Restaurant Awards recognized restaurants in seven distinct categories, spanning the United States, countries, regions, and the world.

Category: Date Night

Among the restaurants that set the mood for a night of wining and dining in 2023, TripAdvisor travelers placed the Mylos A La Carte Restaurant on Rhodes in the 3rd place and Santorini’s Almira Restaurant in the 7th.

Category: Hidden Gems

The Victory Cafe in Athens was voted in the 6th place among the Top 10 restaurants in 2023 that earned an “under-the-radar status”.

Category: Vegetarian

Diners placed the Vegan Beat in Athens in the 6th place among the Top 10 restaurants with veg-friendly menus.

Fine Dining category – No. 1 in the world for 2023: “Restaurant Bougainville”, Amsterdam 

The Bougainville restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands, claimed the top spot in the World’s Fine Dining category with almost 500 five-star reviews. The Bougainville also holds a Michelin star.

Tripadvisor commented: “The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes—from shellfish to duck—but the standout is the seven-course tasting menu which can also be paired with their top-quality selection of wines. The staff takes everything to the next level, providing a spectacle-like experience with their choreographed movements.”

The 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Restaurant Awards were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over the 12-month period between January 1 and December 31, 2022, as well as an additional editorial process.
