The route will operate with three daily frequencies that will become four in January 2024, enabling ITA Airways to offer its passengers a total of 48 roundtrip flights per week to and from the British capital. The A220-100, named after Fiona May, is the smallest jet liner among Airbus commercial aircraft and it is particularly suitable for short-haul connections thanks to its efficiency and comfort standards. In addition, its small size makes it highly appropriate for flying to London City, an airport where operating conditions require the use of smaller aircraft equipped with special technologies. Officials of the airline announced the news of the London City Airport – Milan Linate Connection on the sidelines of the 44th World Travel Market (WTM) travel trade show taking place in London.
