Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, recently revealed its schedule for Summer 2024, which includes the launch of a new direct service to Santorini in Greece.

During the summer, the airline will launch two weekly flights to Santorini from Abu Dhabi as of June 15.

Highlights of the summer 2024 schedule include additional frequencies to Athens and the relaunch of the airline’s Abu Dhabi – Mykonos route.

Etihad will add five more flights to Athens per week from May 1, bringing the total to 12 flights a week to the Greek capital. From July 15, another two weekly flights will be added to its Athens service, totaling 14 flights per week.

Mykonos will be served by two flights per week during the summer, staring from June 17.

Other highlights of Etihad’s summer schedule include new non-stop flights to the French Riviera destination of Nice, a three-weekly summer service to Malaga, Spain, and the extension of service to Copenhagen, making it a year-round destination.

“Our exciting summer schedule reinforces our commitment to growth, giving our customers the destinations, frequencies and timings for European and Asian destinations which suit them,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways.

“It also allows us to attract more visitors to Abu Dhabi to promote the expansion of tourism in our wonderful home.”

The fresh summer schedule comes on top of new destinations already announced for 2024, including Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram on the Indian Subcontinent, Boston in North America, and Nairobi in East Africa.
