Turkish Airlines recently announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ajet, will commence flights in 2024.

“AJet Air Transportation Inc.” is Turkish Airlines’ AnadoluJet brand that was established in 2008 to meet the air transportation needs of Anatolia with advantageous options.

According to a company announcement, Ajet, in line with its sustainability vision will operate as an eco-friendly airline carrier and will enter the cost-effective market with an innovative perspective.

By simplifying the services offered and utilizing an economy class configuration, the company’s aim is to reflect the cost advantage in ticket prices, making air transportation services accessible to a broader audience.

AJet’s operations will be based in Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa Airports. The carrier will begin flights from the end of March 2024.

“We fully believe that AJet, with its new name, will become an important part of the cost-effective aviation industry on global scale,” Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, said.
