Porto Carras: Hotel Staff, Visitors and Volunteers Come Together for the Environment

The environmental awareness program of Porto Carras in 2023 saw volunteers and the resort’s employees and guests participate in cleaning actions and collecting recyclable materials in the wider area.

The Porto Carras Grand Resort is located on the west coast of Sithonia in Halkidiki, Northern Greece

“Always having the necessary equipment at their disposal, the groups of volunteers, employees and visitors, with the guidance of expert agriculturists, enthusiastically participated in cleaning the wider area from litter that burdens the natural and pristine green ecosystem,” the resort’s management said in an update regarding its environmental awareness program.

Throughout the actions, the volunteers, employees and visitors were also informed by the agriculturists on issues related to environmental protection and the key role of individual responsibility in the effort.

“The success of the environmental awareness and cleaning program led to the repetition of the actions multiple times during the year, contributing to preserving and protecting the environment,” the resort’s management said.
