The Hellenic Public Properties Company (ETAD) S.A. recently announced that Iro Hadjigeorgiou is its new Chief Executive Officer. ETAD is the largest company for the management and development of the private real estate assets of the Greek State and constitutes a 100 percent direct subsidiary of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP), otherwise known as Growthfund-The National Fund of Greece. Hadjigeorgiou replaces Panagiotis Balomenos, who until recently served as Executive Director and Executive Member of the Board with acting duties of CEO. Balomenos will now take on the role of Deputy CEO of the company. According to Growthfund, ETAD’s new CEO brings a wealth of domestic and international experience to her role, having held pivotal positions in the real estate investment sector at prominent companies. Her expertise is expected to significantly boost ETAD’s mission to manage and capitalize on the Greek State’s private real estate property. “We warmly welcome Iro Hadjigeorgiou to the Growthfund family. Her expertise, experience, and capabilities will decisively strengthen our strategy to maximize value and manage the ETAD portfolio as efficiently as possible,” Growthfund CEO Gregory D. Dimitriadis said, adding that her appointment will add a “robust developmental character” that the company needs to fulfill its strategic mission. Hadgigeorgiou has had a notable career spanning several years, with extensive experience in the real estate investment sector. She has led the strategic planning of major development projects and investments and held significant roles in renowned organizations such as Noval Property REIC, Lamda Development S.A., Goldman Sachs International, The Arts Team @ RHWL (Aedas), and Hellenic Technodomiki S.A. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from Cornell University with a full International Students and Scholars Award scholarship and an MBA from INSEAD. Growthfund adds two new member’s to ETAD’s Board Growthfund has also added Maria Ioannidou, who has extensive experience in the real estate investment sector and Martha Kavvatha, the Chief Executive Officer and Country Manager for Hellenic Duty Free shops, as new members of ETAD’s Board. The updated composition of the Board of Directors of ETAD is as follows: – Gregory Anastasiadis, Chairman of the BoD, Non-Executive Member – Iro Hadgigeorgiou, CEO, Executive Member – Panagiotis Balomenos, Deputy CEO and Executive Director, Executive Member – Anna Saipi, Non-Executive Member – Theodoros Glavas, Non-Executive Member – Spiros Rouvas, Non-Executive Member – Maria Ioannidou, Non-Executive Member – Martha Kavvatha, Non-Executive Member “We welcome the new board members, Maria Ioannidou and Martha Kavvatha, whose experience in various areas of the private and public sector will significantly enrich the company’s capabilities to manage effectively multiple issues and areas of activity,” Growthfund’s CEO said.
