Michalis Symiacos, the managing director of Symiacos Travel, has passed away.

A well-known figure in the Greek travel agency sector, Michalis headed the travel agency Symiacos Travel, founded in 1964 and near the port of Piraeus, on Miaoulis Coast.

Known in the industry for its high level of professionalism, Symiacos Travel offers travel services to shipping companies; organizations; cultural, educational and professional associations; sports teams; and to individual travelers.

Symiacos Travel is a member of the Greek Union of Air Travel Agencies (PETAGA).

“A great man with morals and values, he was an ardent member and supporter of PETAGA with an continuous presence and contribution to our meetings,” PETAGA’s Board of Directors said in an announcement expressing its deepest sorrow for Michalis’ passing.

Michalis’ funeral will be held on Saturday, December 23, at the Palaio Faliro Cemetery in south Athens, at 12pm.

We, at GTP, extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends and the people of Symiacos Travel.
