The new Dublin – Heraklion summer route will operate two-times-weekly (Monday and Thursday) from May 2 until late September. The new service to Heraklion is part of the airline’s expansion of its European route network for summer 2024. Aer Lingus also announced routes from Dublin to Catania in Sicily, and Dalaman in Turkey, as of May. The new routes to the Mediterranean hotspots of Heraklion, Catania and Dalaman are all part of the airline’s exclusive January sale offerings (until January 15) of discounted seats on 2024 flights. “The addition of these three destinations to the Aer Lingus January Sale schedule reflects a commitment to providing its passengers with access to culturally rich sun-drenched destinations at affordable prices,” the airline said in a company announcement. Aer Lingus operates over 100 routes from Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Knock to Europe, the UK and North America.
