Zakynthos Named the Best Party Island in the World

Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is the best destination in the world for a party-filled getaway, according to a new study released by holiday rental specialists Ibiza Summer Villas.

The study analysed the number of clubs, bars and music venues along with the price of alcohol and opening times across the world’s most popular island destinations.

Out of the 20 islands analysed, Zakynthos in the Ionian Sea placed at the top for all three categories. The Greek island came in at the top for having the highest number of clubs and bars with top ratings, which are “sure to have party-goers immersed in the nightlife and daytime party scene of the island”.

Ibiza and Pag follow as the world’s best islands for party-goers.

The second best destination that has the best bars to visit for an unforgettable experience is Santorini with 81 bars.

More into the study, the Greek island of Ios topped the list for having the best music venues.

With 37 lively music venues, Ios climbed to the top of the rankings, followed closely by the island of Ibiza, home to 27 music venues that contribute to its renowned nightlife.

The study also revealed that Zakynthos takes the top spot as the ultimate party island, boasting a whopping 49 clubs with an excellent average rating of 4.54. Meanwhile, the Greek island of Mykonos came in third place with 30 clubs and a 4.09 average rating.

The Greek island of Kos is also on the list coming in 13th best party destination in the world. Kos ranked 20th in the music venues category, 9th for the number of clubs available and 9th for the number of bars.

Regarding the study’s methodology, Ibiza Summer Villas examined key factors such as the number of clubs, bars, and music venues per 10,000 people on each island, how often they were open each week, and the average price of a beer. Additionally, the average ratings of the places were considered to determine which island stood out as the top destination for exceptional nightlife. Press here to see the full study.
