“Choose Greece”, a private initiative that aims to become the largest Greek road show for B2B and networking in Europe, recently kicked off and held its first event in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The initiative follows the launch of the “Choose Crete” agency last year, which promoted the island as a tourism destination in key markets including Germany, Austria, Poland, Scotland, Sweden and Cyprus.

According to tourism expert Leonidas Babanis, “Choose Greece” is the expansion of “Choose Crete” and will aim to promote the whole country.

“We started from Crete, one of Greece’s most appealing tourism destinations, and following our success we are aiming to do our part in the overall branding of our country and contribute to its promotion,” Babanis, who is the general manager of “Choose Greece”, said in an announcement.

“Choose Greece” is open to Greek tourism businesses and agencies that are interested in becoming more known in markets abroad.

According to Babanis, although 2024 is forecast to be a good year for Greek tourism, efforts must be ongoing.

“Marketing and branding is an ongoing process that must be done consistently and consistently,” Babanis said.

After the event in Copenhagen, the Choose Greece roadshow will make stops in Munich, Germany (February 20); Vienna, Austria (February 22); Bucharest, Romania (March 21); Warsaw, Poland (March 26); Belgrade, Serbia (April 11); Nicosia, Cyprus (April 19); Naples, Italy (May 16); Glasgow, Scotland (October 31); and Stockholm, Sweden (December 2).
