Hospitality Off-season Tourists Boost Greek Hotel, Restaurant Turnover in November by GTP editing team 22 January 2024 written by GTP editing team 22 January 2024 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 22 Off-season tourists boosted turnover for restaurants and hotels operating in Greece in November 2023, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority’s (ELSTAT) monthly bulletin released this week. More specifically, hotel enterprises posted a total of 186,164,893 euros in gains in November 2023 up by 21.8% over the same month in 2022 and 152,816,458 euros. In the same month, food and beverage (F&B) services providers saw their turnover rise by 6.9 percent over the same month a year ago to 172,975,671 euros from 161,815,979 euros in 2022. Overall, accommodation providers and F&B enterprises generated a total of 359,140,564 euros in turnover up from 314,632,438 euros in 2022, recording 14.1 percent rise compared to the year-ago period. The best performing region was Lassithi (Crete) marking the largest increase in November 2023 turnover over the same month in 2022 up by 41.3% while the smallest increase (0.2%) was recorded in the regional unit of Thessaloniki. In terms of on percentage growth, accommodation and F&B services providers in Ikaria saw turnover for the month soar by 221.8 percent.
