An annual event by Global Brands Magazine (GBM) in England, the Global Brand Awards were established to honor excellence in performance and reward companies across different sectors including hospitality. A member of the Electra Hotels & Resorts chain, the Electra Palace Rhodes is a five-star hotel located in Ialyssos on the Greek island of Rhodes and includes deluxe rooms, family suites, six dining areas, spa, pool and mini club for children. The hotel is just ten minutes away from the Old City of Rhodes, an UNESCO heritage site, as well as the island’s Diagoras International Airport. “Expressing our gratitude to the Electra Family in Rhodes Island, for making every guest’s Electra Experience truly unforgettable, from top-notch Greek hospitality to luxurious services, contributing significantly to this recognition,” the hotels management said on social media. The Global Brand Awards honor worldwide brands following a thorough evaluation carried out by GBM. Considered criteria include customer service, technology integration, community engagement, innovative solutions, environmental considerations, and more. Established in 1965, Electra Hotels & Resorts opened its first hotel, the Electra Hotel Athens, on Ermou Street. In 1972, the group opened the doors of the Electra Palace Thessaloniki on Aristotelous Square and one year later the opening of the Electra Palace Athens in Plaka followed. In 1975 the group opened the Electra Palace Rhodes and then the Electra Metropolis Athens in September 2016, located very close to Syntagma Square. The group’s latest addition is the five-star Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa located on the Greek island of Kefalonia.
