According to Aris Tasios, deputy regional governor of Central Greece, by investing in alternative tourism infrastructure , the Region manages to maintain the quality of the natural environment and provide basic comforts to visitors.

“The creation of alternative tourism infrastructure in the region is the basis to enrich our tourism product and develop our tourism sector, which creates both direct and indirect job positions,” Tasios said.

The “Always Raining” gorge is eighty meters long and located between Kaliakouda and Platanaki mountains and near the villages Roska and Stournara. The river Krikelopotamos runs through the gorge and is accessible only 4 months of the year. It has been given the name “Always Raining” from the water that falls along it as rain throughout the year from springs located on the tops of the cliffs.
