Photo source: Jet2 Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added more capacity from Manchester Airport for this summer, with additional flights and holidays to Santorini every Sunday. The announcement comes two weeks after another significant expansion of the UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline. The addition of the new services to the Greek island, which run from July 21 to September 1, along with three other existing services (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), means that the companies have four weekly services available to Santorini during summer 2024. According to a company announcement, the new Sunday flight to Santorini is ideal for newlyweds, who plan to marry on Saturday and want to start their honeymoon immediately after. Couples and families can also take advantage of the additional flights and enjoy a week-long getaway or longer on the Cycladic island. “Demand from customers and independent travel agents in the region is telling us that flights and holidays to Greece are very much in demand for Summer 24,” Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy said. “As ever, we have responded quickly to that demand by adding extra services to Santorini from Manchester Airport, giving customers even more choice when it comes to visiting this bucket list destination,” he added. This summer, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to a total of 14 Greek destinations from Manchester Airport with Athens, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, Kalamata, Kefalonia and Kos to be among them. In addition, the company has announced that five Greek islands have been put on sale for summer 2024 from Liverpool. This year, Jet2 company in total will offer its largest ever flights and holidays schedule for Greece, with 1.5 million seats capacity and 1.500 hotels.
