The partnership, announced on Thursday, sees the launch of a skills development training program aimed at women from all over Greece who have been away from the labor market for two or more years. The program – named “Ready for work (again) at tourism” – offers applicants specialized training, mentoring and the chance of employment in the hospitality industry, in one of the hotels of the Sani/Ikos Group. The “Ready for work (again) at tourism” program is open to 30 women, from any professional or academic background. Those interested can register here until February 25. Enrollment is free of charge. The training workshops start in March and will be completed in three phases: – Phase one (from March 11- 15, 10.00-15.00): Women that have enrolled in the program will attend 10 online interactive workshops held by Women On Top trainers. The workshops will focus on topics including job search strategy, CV writing, negotiation skills and ways to balance personal and professional life. – Phase two (from March 26- 29, 10.00-12.30): Experienced executives of the Sani/Ikos Group will educate the participants about the hospitality industry through online sessions. Topics will include hotel units operation, development of the Greek tourism market, guest services and how to handle complaints. – Phase three: Upon the completion of the workshops, applicants will have the opportunity to connect with women who have extensive professional experience in the tourism industry for a three-month mentoring partnership, which will equip them with valuable skills, tools and contacts to enter the hospitality job market. Following the mentoring partnership, graduates can apply for a job at one of the hotels of the Sani/Ikos group. “The support and development of employees, according to the principles of equality and inclusion, is a key business priority and part of the sustainability strategy of the Sani/Ikos,” the Group said in an announcement. In 2022, the percentage of women in senior management positions at Sani/Ikos increased by more than 30 percent, while the investment in staff training increased by almost 50 percent. Launched in 2012, Women On Top is an organization dedicated to women’s professional empowerment and promotes equality in the workplace. The organization has already trained over 2,500 unemployed, employed and self-employed women through seminars and mentoring workshops.
