According to a company announcement, the shift marks a significant achievement for the airline in its commitment to enhance efficiency and sustainability. “This milestone is a testament of Cyprus Airways’ ongoing commitment to innovation, environmental sustainability, and operational excellence,” said George Mavrocostas, Chief Operations Officer of the airline. The technological advancement is expected to not only improve operational efficiency and situational awareness in flight but also reduce fuel consumption based on weight savings. These improvements are expected to decrease the airline’s carbon footprint and lower operating costs. “Having the best technology and procedures helps our crews make the best decisions to fly more efficiently whilst safeguarding our high standards of safety in flight operations,” he added. This project represents a significant step forward for our pilots providing them with one-touch access to up-to-date flight information, charts, maps, and other crucial tools. This initiative is also an investment in our staff as we are equipping them with cutting-edge technologies to operate at the best of their abilities.” Join the 15,000+ travel executives who read our newsletter Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
