“Africa: A Continent of Animation” will be this year’s theme at the annual international festival Animasyros, scheduled to take place on September 23–29 on the Greek island of Syros.

Dedicated to the art of animation, the 17th edition of the Animasyros festival will include competition sections, special tributes, Agora educational workshops, and a rich program of activities with new international and domestic collaborations.

In honor of its tenth anniversary, Agora, one of the festival’s most important components, will launch a new strategic alliance with the world’s largest animation festival, Annecy International Animation Festival.

These actions will honor African contemporary animation creation and production and highlight the mosaic of storytelling and artistic innovation that comes from this part of the world.
