easyJet was recently named the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest for the next three years, according to an announcement by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

Organized annually, the competition sees participating members of the EBU send a new original song to represent their nation.

As the official airline of Eurovision, easyJet will bring the people of Europe together to celebrate the world’s largest live music event. According to EBU, the airline will offer more seats between countries participating in the song contest than any other airline in Europe and it is expected to fly thousands of fans to the event in May.

“We’re thrilled to welcome easyJet as the official airline for the Eurovision Song Contest. We both share a passion for connecting people and cultures and look forward to taking off together as we unite the joy of music and the freedom of travel,” said Martin Österdahl, Executive Supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Flying on Europe’s most popular routes, easyJet in 2023 carried more than 82 million passengers. With a fleet of 300 aircrafts, the airline serves more than 155 airports in 35 countries with nearly 1,000 routes.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be the official airline for the Eurovision Song Contest for the coming years. Travel offers you that rare opportunity to break away from the everyday and to feel totally in the moment, just as the iconic Eurovision Song Contest does. People, countries, and communities are brought together; anything is possible, and everyone is welcome. At easyJet, we share all of these important values and are proud to play our part in connecting people across Europe, which we believe makes this partnership the perfect match,” added Gabriella Neudecker, Marketing Director, easyJet.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden, on May 7 (first semi-final), May 9 (second semi-final) and May 11 (grand final) in 2024.
