In this direction, Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and Thessaloniki Film Festival Director General Elise Jalladeau signed an agreement which aims to promote Greek culture and the country’s tourism offer through the joint organization of events and activities. “The Thessaloniki Film Festival attracts thousands of visitors from Greece and abroad every year. This partnership will enhance the international visibility of the festival and contribute to the development of the Greek film industry, promoting and encouraging investment in cinema,” said Kefalogianni, underlining that the move comes as part of the ministry’s “strategy and vision for synergies that will contribute to sustainable tourism development, balance, moderation, and respect for the environment and local communities.” Thessaloniki Film Festival Director General Elise Jalladeau (left) and Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni. At the same time, under the agreement, the festival will organize more outreach actions that promote Greek culture and cinema at major festivals abroad, promoting production and supporting the Greek film community,” said Jalladeau.
