Photo source: Domes Domes, a Greek luxury lifestyle hospitality brand, recently announced the upcoming opening of its latest hotel, Domes Novos Santorini, which is set to welcome guests from April 2024. Located on the north-western corner of Santorini in the Tholos region, which aptly translates to ‘Domes’, the hotel sits away from the typically trodden paths. The family-friendly hotel will boast 50 suites and two villas, each with its own private pool and terrace, offering views to Santorini’s renowned sunsets, local vineyards and the Aegean Sea. According to Domes’ management, the brand’s vision is to offer an “un-hurried and understated destination”, with spacious suite and villa-only accommodation set back from the coastline, and the space to create “a more authentic exploration and connection with the hyperlocal community and environment, without the crowds”. Photo source: Domes Culinary experiences Onsite the Novos Santorini, guests can revel in the Vatanee restaurant, led by visionary and Head Chef Dionysis Anastopoulos, who aims to bring people closer together through his cooking with mezes, fine-dining and the best seasonal ingredients. Moreover, the hotel offers a plethora of interactive and locally focused experiences including vineyard tours and tastings, working with winemakers, and immersive cooking classes. With regard to wellness, and guests can unwind in the exclusive Soma Spa ‘The Refined’ with traditional Greek spa rituals combined with contemporary methods and volcanic-infused treatments. Photo source: Domes Kiros Pagkalidis Architects has fused Cycladic luxury with a sustainable approach, using local materials including volcanic stone and blonde oak to design a sophisticated and neutral palette of terracotta, fresh whites and ashy greys, punctuated with indoor/outdoor spaces for an airy atmosphere – stylish for individuals and couples, and appealing to families. Additionally, interior designer, Olivia Siskou has been in charge of resort’s interior spaces, adding local touches to the setting, whilst Fytron Landscapes team, with George Petsagkourakis have designed the landscape of the property. Domes Novos Santorini kicks off this year’s launches ahead of the 91 Athens Riviera glamping and members club in Voula opening this summer, and follows 2023’s openings in Halkidiki, Milos and Mykonos to its current portfolio of now 11 hotels.
