WTA 2024: Mideast Travel Wins Big at Tourism Oscars for Excellence

Mideast Travel Worldwide collected four significant titles at the 31st World Travel Awards and the 4th World MICE Awards in Berlin

Leading Greek travel agency Mideast Travel Worldwide shined as Europe’s Leading Destination Management Company for the 7th consecutive year at the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) Europe Gala Ceremony held on March 6 at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin, Germany.

Established in 1993, WTA has been the leading organization that recognizes and rewards excellence in travel and tourism across all sectors worldwide. The awards are known worldwide as the “Oscars” of travel and tourism and votes are cast by industry professionals and consumers.

Mideast Travel was also honored with two awards on a country level and received the titles of Greece’s Leading Travel Management Company 2024 and Greece’s Leading Destination Management Company 2024.

In addition, at the 4th World MICE Awards Gala Ceremony, a sister event of the WTA held the next day, Mideast Travel was crowned as Greece’s Best MICE Organizer for the forth time in a row. The World MICE Awards reward excellence in MICE tourism.

In a company announcement, Mideast Travel said the four distinctions are a high point in its continuous upward path and its commitment to providing quality services to the industry.

“These four awards fill us with joy and gratitude, giving us the strength to keep up the hard work with the same passion,” said Katerina Mousbeh, Mideast Travel’s managing director, after receiving the awards with the company’s general manager, Maria Mousbeh.

“However, most of the credit must be given to the team at Mideast Travel without whom we would not be here today,” she added.

Established in 1983, Mideast Travel Worldwide is an award-winning travel agency in Greece operating in the travel and tourism industry. The company provides a range of travel services, including destination management in Greece, MICE planning, luxury and leisure travel. Last November, Mideast Travel was announced as the official General Sales Agent (GSA) of Kuwait Airways in Greece.
